I'm excited to finally be able to announce that my photos and writing are being published!! My 8-page article will be appearing in the next issue of Chickpea. For those of your who don't know, Chickpea magazine is "a vegan food & writing quarterly, here to bring whole-foods cooking & living to a beautiful, practical level. Looking for inspiration to start cooking more, to start being more conscious in your habits, to live more DIY, to get offline and enjoy something beautiful?"
Chickpea supports a whole-food, vegan lifestyle but they use a really accessible approach, but their content isn't just food or recipes (though let's face it, who doesn't love a bit of food porn?!). It also features discussions, articles, interviews, city guides, book reviews, and much more - a timely, independent mini-cookbook/coffee table book. Plus, the print issues are made with gorgeous recycled materials, meant to last and the digital issues are easy to read on tablet, laptop, or computer - completely ad free!!
The newest issue - Issue 24 - in which my work will appear, is their International Issue. Already, their content comes from people all over the world, from any background and skill level, so as is it's a really 'international' publication. But this particular issue is really fun because they dive a bit deeper into cultural food traditions, fun destinations, and great interviews with locals from around the world, all paired with the gorgeous photography they're so well-known for.
